"La Prima Estate" Festival
The “La Prima Estate 2025” festival was held at the Parco Bussola Domani in Lido di Camaiore, Tuscany. International artists performed in a beach-like atmosphere with extensive leisure and dining options in a large open-air venue.
A massive event that made managing the flow of people, capacity, and audience experience a key logistical and safety challenge. A challenge we faced and overcame thanks to our technology and that of our partners in Italy, Around People and IT.Answer, and Sokom.

Challenges in managing LARGE EVENTS
During the planning and implementation of this project, we recognized four critical needs:
- Real-time visibility into attendance and movement between the stage, food court, beach, and access points and backstage throughout the event.
- An early warning system to respond to overcrowding or bottlenecks, thus reinforcing audience safety.
- Obtain anonymous, accurate, and auditable data to justify sponsor investments, plan services, and comply with data protection regulations.
- Optimize staffing, cleaning, and logistics without increasing costs.
Deployed solution
High-precision real-time location and presence analytics
We deployed our Location & Presence Analytics technology on the festival’s Wi-Fi network, highlighting:
- Infrastructure: A series of strategically located Wi-Fi access points to cover all areas of interest.
- Full coverage, including the stage area, the food and beverage area, parking, and technical areas.
- AI-based technology for greater accuracy: Galgus Fingerprint identifies devices connected and disconnected to the network, giving it 95% accuracy in counting, even avoiding distortions caused by random MAC addresses. Plus, it requires no user intervention, no app downloads, and no registration.
- Metrics and Frequency: Counting by zone, hours and dwell times, heat maps, and constantly updated flows.
- Alerts issued to the security team when capacity exceeded a critical threshold or suspicious activity was detected, or when movement was detected in restricted areas.
- Privacy: Data aggregated and fully anonymized from the access point, complying with the GDPR.
Results achieved
MORE SECURITY and resource optimization
Among all the statistics we can analyze, we highlight some interesting data, such as:
Saturday was by far the day with the highest attendance at the festival.
9 p.m. was the hour with the highest number of people at the venue, following an upward trend a few hours before the concerts began. A peak in activity was also observed in the morning, which can be attributed to maintenance, preparation, and cleaning work.
Regarding attendance times, the vast majority of attendees enjoyed the festival for more than four hours each day.
In short, the deployment significantly improved the audience experience and safety, increased operating revenue, and provided strategic data that is already being used to design the next edition in 2026.
